Terms of Service
Last updated 8 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Stephen Ebhotemen, who makes TileGrab. By playing, you accept them. They are written to be read, so here is the short version:
Your account
You can play as a guest or sign in with Google. You are responsible for the Google account you use and for what happens under it. One account per person. You must be at least 13, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher. How we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy.
Your name
The name you choose, and any tournament name you create, is shown to other players and on the leaderboards. It must not be abusive, hateful, sexual, impersonate someone, or advertise anything. We may change or reset any name, without notice, that breaks this.
Fair play
Do not modify the game, use bots or scripts, exploit bugs to gain scores or coins, tamper with our server, or harass other players. We may remove scores, reset progress, or suspend or close accounts that do. If you find a bug, please tell us instead.
The subscription
- TileGrab offers an optional subscription, monthly or yearly, with the benefits and price shown in the Store at the time you buy.
- It is sold and billed by Google Play, under Google's terms. It renews automatically until you cancel, which you do in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep the benefits until the paid period ends.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy, not by us.
- If the price changes, Google Play tells you first, and you can cancel before it applies.
- Deleting your account or uninstalling the game does not cancel a subscription.
Coins and rewards
Coins, unlocks, saved runs and other rewards are part of the game. They have no money value, cannot be exchanged for money or anything outside the game, and cannot be transferred or sold. We may rebalance what they cost or give as the game is tuned. They end if your account is deleted or closed.
Talking while you play
- How you treat people. A call is between you and a player who said yes: a friend in a game by code, or someone from the list who accepted your offer to talk (or whose offer you accepted). Do not harass, threaten, bully, or say anything hateful, sexual or illegal to anyone on a call, and do not record someone without their permission. We may take talking away from, or suspend, an account that does.
- What covers a call. The player who starts a call covers it: with a subscription, which includes talking in every game, or by choosing to watch one ad, which covers every call they start in that game. The player who answers talks free. Ads are never shown during a round.
- Every call ends when its game ends. Either player can mute or hang up at any time, and leaving the app ends the call soon after.
- An ad watched for talking covers the next game you start a call in, within two hours. It has no money value and cannot be exchanged, transferred or sold.
- Limits. We may pause or switch off talking, for everyone or for one account, to keep it safe and working.
Blocking and reporting
You can block any player from the ⋯ next to them: you stop seeing each other online, cannot challenge, be matched with or talk to each other, and they are not told. Undo it in Settings. You can report a player there too, for an offensive name or picture, abusive or hateful talk, cheating or anything else. We review reports and may reset a name, take talking away, or suspend online play or an account. Reports from several different players can pause someone's talking until we look.
Tournaments and online play
Tournaments and matches are for fun. There are no cash prizes, and nothing in TileGrab is gambling. Leaving an online match counts as a forfeit. Whoever creates a tournament is responsible for its name.
Words and definitions
Which words are accepted is decided by the game's word list. The short definitions in the Word Vault are written with the help of an AI model and checked over time; they can be wrong or incomplete, and are for fun, not a reference.
The game is ours
TileGrab, its art, sounds, code and name belong to Stephen Ebhotemen or are used under licence. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to play it on your devices. Do not copy, resell or redistribute it or its assets.
Changes and availability
We keep improving the game, so stages, rules, prices and features will change. We will try to keep it running and your progress safe, but cannot promise it will always be available or free of faults, and we may stop offering it. If we ever shut it down, we will give notice in the game first.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.
Warranty and liability
The game is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we give no warranties beyond those the law requires, and we are not liable for indirect losses, lost progress, or anything beyond the amount you paid us in the last twelve months. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that the law does not allow to be limited.
Governing law
TileGrab is played worldwide and made in Nigeria. These terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria, but if you are a consumer, nothing in them takes away the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your own courts where those laws allow it. We may update these terms; the date at the top will move, and if a change matters we will tell you in the game first. Continuing to play after that means you accept the update.
